Ms. Jaya Shree Silpakar
Jaya Shree Silpakar (Jaya) is an MPhil Clinical Psychologist based in Kathmandu, Nepal, specializing in CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and DBT. She has worked as a Clinical Psychology Resident at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), providing psychological assessments, therapy, and treatment planning. Previously, she was an Assistant Psychologist at the Child Health Research Project (IOM), conducting cognitive and behavioral assessments of infants and toddlers.
Her experience includes working as a Program Supervisor & Psychosocial Counselor at the Nepal Red Cross Society, supporting civil war-affected families under ICRC and providing Psychological First Aid post-earthquake. She has also worked as a Child Counselor at the National Institute of Psychology, assisting children with special needs.
Jaya holds an MPhil and an MA in Psychology from Tribhuvan University. She has received training in Global Mental Health and Crisis Psychology from the University of Bergen, Norway, and holds multiple certifications in psychotherapy and counseling. She has published research in Sleep Health, Infant Behavior and Development, and Frontiers in Psychology. A recipient of the MPhil Fellowship from the University Grants Commission, Nepal, she is committed to mental health research, therapy, and advocacy.
